Outdoor Burning/Reporting

Prior to initiating any fire, person(s) should call  270-524-0011 to report the fire. If there is an active burn ban, the dispatcher will inform you of this ban and no fire shall be started. This action notifies the dispatch center of the area that there will be a controlled burn. In the event a person calls 911, dispatch will contact you to ensure that everything is as intended. If everything is as intended, no further action will be taken. If the fire is out of control, or if the person needs a fire department response, the fire department will then be dispatched. statute.aspx (ky.gov)  Provides information on outdoor burning during fire season. (February 15 through April 30, and October 1 through December 15 each year.)
